Direct primary care (DPC) is a model of primary care that emphasizes the physician - patient relationship. In a DPC environment, our physicians are able to spend as much time as they need with you and offer more tailored care. Direct primary care also steps away from the traditional insurance model and instead utilizes a single monthly membership fee that grants you access to a comprehensive list of covered services.

How are you different from my normal primary care doctor?

Direct Primary Care removes all the red tape, hoops and obligations put in place by insurance companies that a traditional doctor has to jump through to take care of their patients. We care for smaller panels of patients than your traditional primary care physician. You may be astonished to see that we do not rush in and out of patient rooms and our patients get ALL their questions answered!

Do I need insurance?

No, insurance is not required to become a member of our practice. Upper Echelon Medical is a direct primary care practice and not an insurance policy. We do recommend carrying a high deductible insurance plan to cover for emergencies and major procedures. Our services are meant to work in tandem with your health insurance policy to provide our patients with the highest quality and most comprehensive care possible.

Membership

What is included under my membership?

Your UEM membership includes convenient and prompt access to your physician, discounted lab tests, access to wholesale-priced medications, unlimited physician appointments, and telehealth services. We also offer our patients exclusive perks with business in our community including discounts and much more.

How does direct primary care save me money?

By having direct access to your physician, avoiding just one unnecessary visit to the emergency room could save you thousands of dollars! Referrals

Are you able to refer me to specialists?

Yes, besides working and coordinating with your existing care team, we can also refer you to specialists if necessary for your care.
